Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using ReadZero ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Description of Service
ReadZero is a personal reading list application that allows you to:
- Save articles and web content for later reading
- Receive AI-generated summaries of saved content
- Organize your reading with daily digests
- Listen to AI-generated audio podcast episodes of your daily digests
Acceptable Use
You agree to use ReadZero only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Share content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App
- Use the App to distribute malware or harmful content
- Interfere with the App's functionality or security
Intellectual Property
- The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by ReadZero and protected by intellectual property laws
- Content you save remains your responsibility; we do not claim ownership of your saved articles
- AI-generated summaries and audio content are provided for your personal use only
Content You Save
- You are responsible for the content you save to ReadZero
- We do not monitor or control the content you save
- We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law
- Saved content is extracted from public web pages for your personal reading convenience
AI-Generated Content
- Summaries, digests, and audio podcast episodes are generated by artificial intelligence
- AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
- AI summaries are meant to complement, not replace, reading the original content
- Audio podcast episodes are generated from AI-created digest summaries and may not perfectly reflect the original articles
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated summaries or audio content
Audio and Podcast Content
- Podcast episodes are generated using AI text-to-speech technology (ElevenLabs)
- Audio content is derived from your daily digest summaries, not from the original articles directly
- The voices used in podcast episodes are AI-generated and do not represent real individuals
- AI-generated audio may contain errors or mispronunciations
- Podcast episodes are for your personal use only and should not be redistributed
- We do not guarantee continuous availability of audio generation features
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
- AI summaries or audio content will be accurate or complete
- The App will meet your specific requirements
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, READZERO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ReadZero from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
